With growth opportunities seen in the Philippine telco industry, the search for a new major telco player has enticed not just local firms but also foreign investors.

Who will win?

Here at GIZGUIDE we list potential bidders wanting to be the third telco player, based on earlier remarks of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) acting chief Eliseo Rio.

Although these companies have expressed a desire to snatch the third telco slot, this remains unofficial until they purchase the selection process documents from the DICT and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). Selling of these documents would start on Monday, October 8.

Let's wait if these groups would really take a chance to become a challenger of the PLDT-Globe Telecom duopoly. 

Both the DICT and NTC have been ramping up the process as President Rodrigo Duterte mandated to name the third telco before Christmas.

Grado GW100 announced, the company's first open-back Bluetooth headphones

Grado Labs, the legendary audio brand, just launched the company's first open-back Bluetooth headphones, the GW100. Grado GW100 The Grado  GW100 boasts the classic Grado design and same drivers/speakers found on their wired headphones. Like their other headphones, it was specifically tuned for different enclosures that they are using. Google launches the new Chromecast, Home Hub!
